Abstract

Mourning a suicide can be a difficult, complicated experience for family and friends. A therapist's bereavement can be even more complex. The multitude of feelings is often unspoken and/or unattended by colleagues, loved ones, and themselves. This article explores some defenses, both helpful and unhelpful, that one clinician used to process the event. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
