Abstract

The article presents the study that assesses the prevalence of the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases, including obesity, smoking and sedentary lifestyles, among medical students in South India. It states that a cross-sectional survey was conducted involving medical students from a private medical school. Results of the study confirm the poor compliance of the students on recommended physical activity and dietary intake. The need to alter the health behavior of the students is emphasized.
