Abstract

In this paper, we present a concept model of a superconducting electric generator with AC superconductive stator winding YBCO type and NdFeB type permanent magnets on the rotor. A numerical modelling for the concept model was realized to establish its working parameters. The interior construction of the permanent magnet AC superconducting electric generator is composed of the following components: cryostat of the superconducting coils (statoric), permanent magnet rotor, cryostat (case) of the superconducting electric generator. The parameters of the permanent magnet AC superconducting electric generator are the following: output power 1500 VA, speed 750 rpm, number of phases: 3, working temperature of the superconducting coils: 77 K (liquid nitrogen cooling), number of pairs of poles: 4 (8 permanent magnets), number of HTS superconducting coils: 6, maximum efficiency: 98 %.
