Abstract
- The article discusses quantitative easing (QE) in Europe, the U.S., and Asia. According to the author, QE programs have limited effects on economic growth, because the proceeds are mostly used to buy stocks, resulting in benefits that are limited to higher income brackets. Details on indirect QE in China and on the European Central Bank (ECB) are presented.
