Abstract
- The article focuses on increasing distance between policymakers and political science and reduce its focus on techniques. Topics discussed include focus of political science on statistical and mathematical methods according to Michael Desch, professor of political science, creation of the U.S. National Science Foundation due to activities of the U.S. Office of Naval Research and support for quantification of political science from government agencies.
