Abstract
- The article presents literary criticism of the book "The Dunciad" by Alexander Pope. Particular focus is given to five young men referenced in the text who were the sons of British peers and who had acquired a love of opera while undertaking educational tours of Europe. These include William Cowper, Simon Harcourt, Robert Raymond, George Parker, and John King. Details on their travels are presented.
