Abstract
- The article discusses the contributions of East and Southeast Asia to the scientific publishing database Nature Index in 2014. Topics include the region's weighted fractional count, dominance of China in scientific publication, particularly in chemistry and physical sciences due to its investment in education and research and development, collaborativeness of top five universities led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the pattern of international collaborations in scientific research.
