Abstract

The article focuses on exaggerated media reports of scientific findings and they found most of it coming from university press releases and a science writer stated the journalists should take 100%of the blame. However, a research fellow suggested press releases should include named authors, press officers, and academics from the original paper and this would create accountability and journalists should cross check their sources. This improves quality of health-related news stories.
