Abstract

The article focuses on a research conducted in the U.S. regarding the prevalence of language problems among young offenders which affect their understanding and ideas of expressing during social and academic interactions. It presents opinion from speech-language pathologists, correctional educators, and principals after interviewing these young offenders. Other topics include role of language and communication problems in poor behaviour and need of safe and secure school environment.
