Phoenix Society laid to rest in K.C.

The Kansas City's Phoenix Society's board of directors met recently, decided not to renew the incorporation papers for the coming year, and suggested that members involve themselves in other organizations. It attributed the demise of the Phoenix Society to certain conservatives who were afraid to stand up for their rights. One organization still remaining in Kansas City is the Mid-America Religious Council on Homosexuality, which is currently being incorporated. Another is the Homosexual Underground Action Committee.
