Discussion on calculation formula about anchorage length of anchors in different technical codes.

Abstract

Anchors have a wide range of applications in slope protection, excavation support, anti-floating of underground structures, and related professional or national codes give respective formulas to calculate anchorage length of anchors. The classification of geotechnical design methods at the present stage was discussed, and by comparing the calculation formula about anchorage length of anchors in JGJ 120-2012 Technical Specification for Retaining and Protection of Building Foundation Excavations, GB 50330-2002 Technical Code for Building Slope Engineering, CECS 22: 2005 Technical Specification for Ground Anchors, GB 50007-2011Code for Design of Building Foundation, the corresponding geotechnical design methods in the above four codes were explained. A numerical example is adopted to calculate the anchorage length of anchors using the above four different codes, and the calculation results are analyzed. The calculation results of anchorage length using four different codes are different, which can verify the evaluation system in different codes is established according to different reliability standards.
