Abstract
- In article number 1402340, Licheng Sun and co‐workers report the use of a lowcost organic solvent, 1,1,2,2‐tetrachloroethane (TeCA), as an additive for the well‐known p‐type organic hole transport material‐2,2',7,7'‐tetrakis‐(N,N‐di‐pmethoxyphenyl‐amine)‐9,9'spiro‐bifluorene (Spiro‐OMeTAD). It is found that this significantly increases the conductivity of Spiro‐OMeTAD‐based semiconducting films. Subsequently, this additive is successfully applied in Spiro‐OMeTAD‐based solid‐state dye‐sensitized solar cells, and a record power conversion efficiency of 7.7% is obtained under one sun illumination.
