Abstract: The article presents a study on the differentiation between traumatic tap and aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) from a traumatic lumbar puncture. Topics covered include acute non-traumatic headache, the diagnosis of SAH with a sensitivity of 100 percent, and the relatively wide confidence interval around the sensitivity.
