Abstract
- Car manufacturer Toyota has upgraded its dealership wide area network in Great Britain from ISDN-based leased lines to IP VPN links. The Wan, which connects 235 British dealers to the Toyota network, provides all the tools and information dealers require. Toyota selected BT's Netequip managed wide area IP networking solution for the task. Toyota is now working with Omnetica on trials to provide secure links using digital certificates to other car sales channels.
