Abstract

The article examines the effectiveness of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) preceding cognitive behavioral management for patients experiencing chronic low back pain. Topics discussed include pain intensity and disability as primary outcome measures and the staging of a double blind parallel group randomized controlled trial with a six month follow up. The inability of tDCS to pain or disability and the outcomes of a cognitive behavioral group program is mentioned.
