Abstract

The article discusses the case study of a 72-year-old woman who was diagnosed with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) with aquaporin-4 (AQP4) autoantibodies. It mentions that the patient has a medical history of multiple non-melanona skin cancers where she underwent a left lower lobectomy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study highlights the importance of oncological screening among patients with NMOSD in response to the spectrum of paraneoplastic AQP4 autoimmunity.
