Abstract
- The article focuses on issues related to child poverty in Australia. According to recent data, about one child in every seven children lives in a household where income is less than half the median for the country. The report "Education in Australia 2012," by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Reform Council in October 2013, states that in 2011, more than two in five young people from the lowest socio-economic backgrounds were not fully engaged in work or study after leaving school.
