Abstract
- In this article the author offers reflections on their work curating contemporary art from Southeast Asia. Particular focus is given to their observations on work by artists including Simryn Gill, Amanda Heng and the artist group Ruangrupa. Additional topics include the author's web anthology project "Comparative Contemporaries," the National Gallery Singapore's (NGS) first art forum and expressions of nationalism and regionalism in Asian art.
