Abstract

The article presents information on several hardiest species of Agave, a genus of monocots, in light of a survey that was conducted to test the hardenbility of the species in winter in Great Britain. It reveals that Agave americana are yellow or cream-variegated cultivars of varying hardiness with stripes and bands at the leaf margin. It also mentions that Agave montana is best plant for outdoor cultivation and forms solitary rosettes with spined leaves.
