- Describes an ideal, fully scalable protocol for digital fountain, which allows any number of heterogeneous receivers to acquire content with optimal efficiency. Motivator of the design of new multicast and broadcast protocols; Need for multicast or broadcast transmissions to be reliable; Problem with solutions based on adaptive retransmission.
