Abstract

A partial difference set S in a finite group G such that S = S<superscript>-1</superscript> and 1 ∉ S corresponds to an undirected strongly regular Cayley graph Cay(G,S). Very few examples of PDSs are known, and there are especially few known in nonabelian groups. In this paper, a partial difference set S with S = S<superscript>-1</superscript> and 1 ∉ S is constructed for each extraspecial group of order p<superscript>3</superscript> and exponent p<superscript>2</superscript>, where p is an odd prime.
