Abstract

The article provides U.S. administrative policy news briefs concerning financial issues. It states that U.S. President George W. Bush's tax cut proposal didn't touch corporate tax rates but that several business groups have pushed proposals on Congress to include one. The Securities and Exchange Commission adopted amendments to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to prevent pressuring auditors of financial statements. The Internal Revenue Service Oversight Board presented its annual report to Congress.
