Abstract

The article discusses a study conducted to examine current experiences of doctors and nurses transferring patients in critical care settings home to die. It is noted that the study found that practice of transferring critically ill patients home to die is a rare event in Great Britain, challenges to service provision promoting high-quality care for all adults approaching the end of life and providing choice to critically care patients option to die.
