Abstract
- Two enantiomorphic 3D lanthanide coordination polymers of {[Dy<subscript>5</subscript>(L)<subscript>4</subscript>(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>10</subscript>][Dy(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>7</subscript>][Na(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>5</subscript>]}·(ClO<subscript>4</subscript>)<subscript>7</subscript>·(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>15</subscript> (1a for R and 1b for S) with chiral helical chains were synthesized based on an achiral ligand N-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine-N,N′,N′-triacetic acid (H<subscript>3</subscript>L) and Dy(ClO<subscript>4</subscript>)<subscript>3</subscript>. Crystal analysis revealed that 1a and 1b were crystallized in chiral space groups P4<subscript>1</subscript>32 and P4<subscript>3</subscript>32, respectively. The absolute configurations of the two structures were evidenced by vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectra with one single crystal sample. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
