Abstract

The article presents a study which analyzes the presence of ERGdel gene coding in a large cohort of children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) treated according to the Austrian-German-Swiss ALL-BFM-2000 protocol. It mentions the clonal stability of ERGdel from diagnosis to relapse in paired samples that occurred at a frequency of 4.5% in childhood ALL. The authors note that their observations support a positive impact of ERGdel on treatment susceptibility in ALL-BFM 2000.
