Abstract

The article discusses the pathophysiology and epidemiology of carbon monoxide poisoning. It claims that some sources of carbon monoxide are internal combustion engines, household appliances, and portable barbecue. Also cited are the symptoms of carbon monoxide intoxication like headache, drowsiness, and dizziness, the cases of deliberate and accidental poisoning in Great Britain, and possible treatments like erythropoietin.
