Recent Trends in the Study of Music of the Fourteenth, Fifteenth, and Sixteenth Centuries.

An essay is presented which explores scholarship on music during the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries. Topics discussed include the cultural turn in music research, the impact of performers and the repertory on the study of music, and the impact of technological innovations on musicology.
