Abstract
- The article offers information on a study which determines the effectiveness of infection control intervention programme in preventing the prevalence of meticillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) transmission among Hong Kong's residential care homes for the elderly (RCHEs). It mentions that two-arm cluster randomized controlled trial was used to guide this study. It shows that the intervention programme which focuses on hand hygiene (HH) was not effective in preventing MRSA transmission.
