Abstract: The article focuses on prevention of importation of counterfeit goods under the U.S Tariff Act and problems associated with online sale of counterfeit goods through electronic commerce website Etsy .Topics discussed include U.S trademark law relevant to counterfeiting and secondary infringement liability, the history of do it yourself (DIY) and method of three dimensional (3D) printing. It also mentions Online Piracy Act focused on online copyright infringement prevention.
