Abstract
- The article presents the results of a 10-year follow-up of a randomized multicenter trial that compared surgical treatment with ambulatory compression therapy for venous leg ulcers. Disease specific and generic quality-of-life (QoL) as well as current ulcer state and recurrence during the follow-up period were assessed. The results indicate that surgical treatment was more effective in increasing patients' chances of being ulcer-free.
