Designs for Altarpieces by Maarten van Heemskerck.

The article examines designs for altarpieces by the artist Maarten van Heemskerck. Particular focus is given to folios of his travel sketchbook and larger drawings. Additional topics discussed include his drawings of classical sculptures in Rome, insights on his drawing techniques and his depictions of Crucifixions in his work.
