Abstract

In this article the author discusses ways to locate Irish ancestors who were lost during the 19th and 20th century at the time of Great war. Topics discussed include use of Civil birth registrations, baptismal records and census returns for identifying the person, searching for the online marriage index and other indexes available at the General Register Office research room in Dublin and checking the emigration record of the list of passengers who settled at different locations.
