Abstract

Studies the properties of Upper Triassic rocks of Kiritehere in Auckland, New Zealand. Presence of slump balls and other packets of sediment, some having welded contacts with the adjacent rock; Indication of origin as a vast slump deposition; Possibility that slumping was triggered off by tilting of the sea floor.
