Abstract

The article discusses takotsubo cardiomyopathy in elderly adults. Details are presented about an analysis of health records for 343 people with takotsubo syndrome. The author concludes that older adults with this condition have prognoses worse than that for the general population, and should be made subject to greater surveillance during and after their time in the hospital.
