EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR RURAL SOCIOLOGY (Book).

The article reports on the tenth congress of the European Society for Rural Sociology held recently at Cordoba, Spain. The reason for the existence of this scientific society is that people feel it worthwhile to communicate with each other. In recent years, the European Society gradually moved from a society focused mainly on European agricultural problems approached from various disciplines, to a society of rural sociologists who are occupied with agricultural and rural problems the world over. This trend will make the Society a more valuable forum for its actual and potential members. The recent congress was not only an occasion for intensified scientific communication, but was also an opportunity for several committees of the Society to hold their meetings.
