Abstract

The article discusses the summary and key findings of Monitoring the Future study of illicit drug use in 8th to 12 the grade students in the U.S. since 2014. It is designed to detect age effects, secular trends, and cohort effects on drug use and related attitudes and beliefs. It states that there is a decline in the use of licit and illicit drugs like marijuana has come down by 1.6% and psychotherapeutic drugs by 13.9%. It is mentioned that tobacco and alcohol consumption is at a record low.
