Geotechnical data acquisition and analysis for archaeological appraisal.

This paper contains information regarding several geotechnical standards with emphasis on Eurocode 7. Both intrusive and non-destructive methods exist, but these are not routinely practiced and their interpretation requires expert knowledge. They have the potential to explore shallow layers of soil, other soil and structural components, as well as relicts of past human activity.
