USAGE OF OAICAT LIBRARY TO EXPORT DATA FROM DIGITAL LIBRARY OF PHD DISSERTATIONS OF UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD.

This paper describes how to customize OAICat library for exporting data via OAI-PMH protocol from the institutional repositories in the example of the digital library of the University of Novi Sad. OAI-PMH protocol is one of the dominant protocols for the exchange of large amounts of data and it has been shown in previously published studies that OAI-PMH compatible repositories are more visible to users via web browsers. Visibility of knowledge stored in digital PhD dissertations is very important for future PhD students, because it provides them education in accordance with the information age in which we live. Also, the visibility of PhD dissertations in the digital form encourages collaboration of researchers from different universities and increasing the quality of future PhD dissertations.
