- The article shares professional and personal goals of several scientists for 2015. Topics noted include National Aeronautic Space Administration chief scientist Ellen R. Stofan's goal of sending humans to Mars safely to inspire a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, British chief medical officer Sally Davies' mention of her desire to see international initiative on antimicrobial resistance, and chemistry professor Yi Xie's mention of collaborations across disciplines.
