In the Footsteps of Bagira.

The article presents an analysis of the ethnic Iron Age I Israel and its link with archaeology. Particular focus is given to the dependence of the search for ethnicity in archaeology on the definition of ethnicity and on written sources. A review of literature of Iron Age I ethnic Israel is given, along with a discussion on the debate between maximalists and minimalists.
