Abstract
- Phospholipase A2 hydrolysis of dioleoylphosphatidylcholine, dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine or their equimolar mixture with sphingomyelin in liposomes exposed to gamma-radiation has been investigated. Stabilization of the gamma-irradiated lipid bilayer to hydrolysis by sphingomyelin has been shown.
