Abstract: Primary bone tumors arising in the 1st vertebra (atlas) are extremely uncommon, only 12 cases are known to have been reported previously. The present report describes the clinicopathological features of 3 additional bone tumors originated in the atlas (osteochondroma, benign osteoblastoma, and Ewing's sarcoma), as well as their therapeutic management.
