Abstract: We isolated a cDNA of N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase I (GnT-I) from rat liver and analyzed GnT-I mRNA expression in several rat tissues. We found that GnT-I mRNA was expressed in a tissue-specific manner and the pattern of its expression was suggested to be species-specific by comparison with the reported result in mice.
