Abstract
- Krapp-Hydroxyanthrachinone given orally will, in a dosage of 150-200 mg, inhibit the intra-renal crystallization of calcium oxalate in the rabbit kidney following Glyoxalate intoxication. This inhibition is increased considerably by Na-Cu-Chlorophylline. The mechanism of action of the inhibitor substances is a specific surface adsorption prohibiting formation of microliths. This can also be shown in precipitation experiments in vitro. The authors suggest a certain clinical use of a combination of the tested dye with vitamin B6, citrate and magnesium preparations.
