Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of two-dimensional echocardiography of the left coronary artery (LCA). This vessel could be visualized in about 80% of the patients, and its pathological features (stenosis, density, irregularities) are described. The first prospective studies seem to have demonstrated the high predictive value of this method for LCA lesions (75%). Two-dimensional echocardiography deserves to be more widely used for non-invasive exploration of patients with coronary disease.
