Abstract
- Infections of the reproductive tract in women of childbearing age menace not only the mother but also the offspring. Syphilis and gonorrhea may be lethal to the fetus. Candidiasis, trichomoniasis, and condylomata acuminata have less drastic effects on the fetus but if untreated are often troublesome to both the mother and child.
