Abstract

Penile inversion vaginoplasty (PIV) is the most common surgical technique used in "gender-affirming bottom surgery." During this process, penile tissue is used to create a functional neo-vagina, allowing the individual to experience a more aligned physical manifestation of their "gender" identity. In this technical note, we describe the steps and nuances used by the senior author to ensure reliable aesthetic and functional outcomes, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of transgender patients.<br />Competing Interests: Human subjects: All authors have confirmed that this study did not involve human participants or tissue.
