Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Zygaena filipendulae (6-spot burnet; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Zygaenidae). The genome sequence is 365.9 megabases in span. The majority of the assembly (99.99%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, with the W and Z sex chromosomes assembled. The complete mitochondrial genome was also assembled and is 15.6 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl has identified 12,493 protein coding genes.<br />Competing Interests: No competing interests were disclosed.<br /> (Copyright: © 2024 Boyes D et al.)
