Abstract
- Abstract: Functional medicine is a patient-centered approach that seeks to address the underlying causes of disease rather than focusing on managing the symptoms. This article explains the core principles of functional medicine and explores the potential for nurses to learn and incorporate functional medicine into their practice. By adopting a functional medicine approach, nurses can promote a more personalized and collaborative health care environment that can improve patient outcomes and empower patients to take an active role in their own health journey.<br /> (Copyright © 2024 Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc.
