Abstract: Competing Interests: Drs Lavandero, Kogan, Chiong, and Ocaranza are coinventors on a patent application (PCT/IB2021/054074) filed in May 2021. The patent application relates to the Ang-(1-9) RE and its use as a cardioprotective, anti–cardiac remodeling, and antihypertensive compound.
